    Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Windows Setup > Communications
    Needs : Dial-up Networking, Hyperterminal, (Phone Dialler), (Dial-up Server), (Direct Cable Connection).
    Do not reboot after comms added until checked Client for Microsoft Networks NOT Family Logon.

    If an initialisation string does not work, take out the string and reboot.
