Probably the busiest terminus in the country for loco-hauled trains, set on a weekday to give a taste of rush-hour operations at the beginning and end of a 9-5 shift. Class AM10 on suburban services and all the early AC electric classes in evidence. Warning - this one is complex and difficult; please try one of our easier games first! Not recommended for beginners!!

This simulation is set at Euston, the London terminus of the former London and North Western Railway. Euston is the terminus of the electrified main line to Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Crewe, and is seen on a weekday in 1971. You have to direct all the trains in and out, selecting platforms to avoid delays and minimise congestion; you also have to allocate appropriate motive power to each loco-hauled service.
At this time Euston had probably more locomotive movements that any other terminus in the country, and your task will not be simple. In particular, you will have to plan how to use the available platforms to avoid conflicts between arrivals and departures, and adjustments will be needed when arrivals are running late. The timetable is nearly (but not quite) a regular-interval one, and with practice you will find that regular use of particular platforms for trains departing at set times past the hour will often simplify your task.
