| Based on the Southern Pacific / Santa Fe joint line over the mountains from Bakersfield to Mojave, including the celebrated Tehachapi Loop. This must be one of the most intensively worked stretches of single track anywhere, with helper operation on many trains, and requires a lot of concentration.
